Welcome to ello
At ello you find holiday homes where you truly are on holiday. Not the version where you first have to make four beds before the holiday can begin.
As a working parent you know the feeling: at home there is always something that still needs doing. At ello you can let that go. The beds are made when you arrive. There are toys for the children, beach towels you don’t need to drag along, board games for the rainy afternoon. Time for baking cookies, for a walk through the dunes, for each other.
As a mum of three, Elise knows that feeling. Arriving after a long drive, unpacking cases, and then making four more beds before anyone can step outside. At ello we wanted to do it differently. So that you step inside, put your bag down, and actually start to relax.

three generations in Marinapark
A family story, 33 years on
Our story begins with Elise’s grandfather. He bought a wooden bungalow in Marinapark, for his grandchildren. A place outside the city, where they could cycle, roller-skate, and simply be children.
That bungalow later passed to her father. Generation after generation, it filled up: brothers and sisters, cousins. Children playing in the dunes, evenings on the terrace, the smell of aftersun. Year after year, summer after summer, in winter too, every long weekend. The park became a kind of second home.
Elise has three daughters. She wanted that feeling to become part of their story too. But one bungalow grew too small for the whole family. When she and Michael had the chance to buy their own little house in the very same park, they took it. So they could be there while the rest of the family stayed in the family bungalow. Shortly after, the house next door went up for sale. They bought that one too.
Not just to rent out, but to pass on that feeling. To families who know exactly what it’s like to truly let go for a while.
Through Hado Wonen, their full-service renovation company, they know the value of good materials and thoughtful details. The same care goes into everything they do for the houses.
We are not a hotel chain. We are Elise and Michael, and these are our houses. We look after them ourselves, we know every corner, and we are glad when you can call them home for a while.

At home on the Belgian coast
Our first chapter is set in Westende, in the car-free Marinapark. A 10-minute bike ride from the sea, surrounded by nature, with Middelkerke, Nieuwpoort and Ostend within easy reach.
Our two houses sit next to each other in the same park, perfect for families, friends, or larger family groups looking for a little extra space and connection.
